Job Summary & Deliverables The Driver ensures the safe and efficient transport of clients to and from Valley locations. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of company vehicles.
Essential Functions
Complies with all safety policies and procedures while operating vehicle
Transports clients to and from Valley locations
Follows the safest and most efficient assigned route
Maintains knowledge of the routes, locations of stops, and the clients who board or exit at each stop
Coordinates with and supports employees who accompany clients and assists with behavior management on the vehicle
Performs routine maintenance as required
Maintains interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness
Follows emergency procedures and reports incidents as required
Maintains required transportation records
Follows (If applicable) all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) rules and other local transportation regulations as applicable
Vans must be kept at a Valley property when not in use. Drivers may be able to keep the vehicle at the closest location to their home in between working hours.
Requirements Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
No previous experience required (see Preferred Qualifications)
Licenses/Certifications
This position requires driving - minimum age of 21 and a current driver’s license
Valley de‑escalation certification
For DOT vehicles - Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
For DOT vehicles - Department of Transportation Health Certificate
