Account Manager - Wholesale Distribution

Klipboard provides specialist software, services and support to deliver fully integrated trading and business management solutions to companies in the distributive trade – wherever they are in the world. With a unique depth of knowledge and experience in ERP/SaaS solutions, Klipboard has a wide range of clients including wholesalers, distributors, merchants and retailers from small traders to multinational enterprises. Klipboard has offices in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, South Africa, Kenya and North America. Our mission is simple: to design and deliver high‑performance, integrated ERP solutions that enable our distributive trade customers to source effectively, stock efficiently, sell profitably and service competitively.
Key Responsibilities
Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships
Oversee customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
Answer client queries and identify new opportunities among existing customers
Liaise with cross‑functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience; occasional travel may be required
Act as liaison with UK billing and collections teams
Attend and support customer events and trade shows
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Effective communication skills
Proficiency with CRM software
General comprehensive knowledge of sales processes and goals
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to sell via phone effectively
Special Conditions The company reserves the right to require you to work in accordance with our Out of Hours (OOH)/On‑call rota if your manager feels your experience is suitable. This role may require a medium amount of travel in North America.
