CASHIER/Sales Associate - Overnights
Join GPM Investments, LLC as a Cashier/Sales Associate for our overnight shift (typically 10 PM to 6 AM). The successful candidate will work independently, ensuring the store runs smoothly through the night.
Responsibilities
Greet customers with a smile and operate the register efficiently.
Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales—ensure compliance with all age verification and legal requirements.
Offer friendly service and upsell customers when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store:
Deep clean high-use restrooms.
Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets).
Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
Take out trash to the dumpster, in all weather conditions.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full.
Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
Cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be 18+ in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, CO; 21+ in all other states.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and the overnight shift (10 PM – 6 AM).
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; will be on feet most of the shift.
Strong communication skills—able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Physical ability: lift up to 10 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal history background check.
Personable and positive demeanor; knack for making people feel welcome.
Detail‑oriented; notice the little things that improve the customer experience.
Reliable and responsible—punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in work.
Flexible and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment.
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
