Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – New York, NY
Our client, a private diagnostic radiology practice located in Manhattan, specializing in a broad range of imaging modalities, is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join their growing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care, comfort, and safety throughout the diagnostic process.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including General, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Vascular, and ultrasound-guided invasive procedures
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout all examinations
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic information
Maintain precise and timely patient records and documentation
Demonstrate strong communication skills with patients and team members
Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology through ongoing education and training
Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment through active participation in team initiatives
Qualifications
ARDMS registration required
Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on ultrasound experience
Strong technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment and procedures
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
High attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety
Compensation $45–$55+/hour, based on experience
