Job Summary
The Speech Pathologist is a certified Speech Language Pathologist who assumes the responsibility as a staff Speech/Language Pathologist to assess and give qualified therapy to the patients of Saint Francis Medical Center. The Speech/Language Pathologist will administer appropriate tests as diagnostic tools for evaluation, provide appropriate private therapy to meet short and long term goals, determine length of therapy, time of discharge and/or referrals.

Typical hours for this position: hours vary Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, rotating weekends/holidays
Education
Master's or Clinical Doctorate program in Speech/Language Pathology – required
Certification & Licensures
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Pathology from ASHA required within two (2) years of hire – required
Current licensure or provisional license in the State of Missouri – required
BLS certification – required
Experience
No experience other than clinical internship required for entry
Additional experience for Home Care and Hospice Speech Pathologists
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order – required
Experience in Home Care, Hospice and/or Palliative Care – preferred
Must register with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and complete the FCSR background – required
