Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist 2
Department: James | SSCBC Oncology Rehabilitation
The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Institute is the patient care component of The Ohio State University's Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Speech‑Language Pathologist is a member of the James Ambulatory Care Team with the goal of providing personalized health care to patients throughout our outpatient clinics. The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) specializes in the assessment and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders and contributes to current evidence‑based practice research in the field. The SLP’s specialized knowledge of the larynx uniquely qualifies this professional to aid in the diagnostic and treatment process with a team that may include other SLPs, otolaryngologists, pulmonologists, and/or various other medical professionals.
Responsibilities
Assess and treat voice, speech, and swallowing disorders related to head and neck cancer.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Engage in evidence‑based practice research and contribute to current protocols.
Provide personalized health care within outpatient clinics.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ohio Licensure in Speech Pathology required.
1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Position Type: Regular
Location: James Cancer Hospital (0375)
Scheduled Hours: 40. Shift: First Shift.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
