Organization: VHCS Clinical - Pediatrics

Job Summary: Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re)habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educate and counsel patients and families. Provide independent therapeutic services and identify area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervise graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participate actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborate with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives.

Schedule:

Flexible PRN Hours (1–2 days per week, Monday–Friday)

About the Role We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in medical feeding and speech-language development for medically fragile infants and children. This PRN home health position offers flexibility and the opportunity to deliver life-changing care in a home setting.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat neonates and infants with swallowing and oral feeding disorders

Educate and counsel families on feeding strategies and speech development

Deliver independent therapeutic services and identify areas of clinical specialization

Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team to achieve patient outcomes

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Infant medical feeding experience required

Licensure: Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Tennessee (or eligibility)
