Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is the clinical staff member who interacts with patients on a daily basis. They present good communication and observation skills as well as the ability to accurately process and document information. The RN provides structure and safety to the milieu environment as directed by hospital and unit procedures and manages patient behavior effectively. The RN develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.

Registered Nurses (RNs) demonstrate leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

RNs serve as nursing resources for staff, interact and assist in teaching patients.

Nurses actively and constructively serve as a member of the multi‑disciplinary treatment team.

Performs other duties as assigned.

About Spring Mountain Treatment Center Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults, and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24‑hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens.

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110‑bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs.

Qualifications

Current Nevada RN licensure.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum one year of RN experience required with experience in a psychiatric setting highly preferred.

Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification.

Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and policies and procedures.

Good communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).

Good leadership qualities including self‑control, patience, and empathy.

New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
