ProSearch has partnered up with an oncology medical practice in ME/NH that is currently seeking an
Oncology Clinic Manager
for clinics in Kennebunk, Maine, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Your responsibilities include oversight of fiscal accountability, maintaining quality and regulatory standards, maintaining a high level of patient/family centered care and service, patient and staff satisfaction, program development, managing and developing teams. Our client strives to provide the highest quality care and unmatched, holistic support for every patient, every day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coaches and leads healthcare team members in the performance of patient care procedures and processes with a focus on safety and competence. Provides coaching, counseling and discipline as needed
Approves and maintains timecards for direct reports
Ensures the clinic is appropriately always staffed
Coordinates clinical provider schedules including PTO, and CME. The Clinic Manager may also coordinate the weekend clinic, physician on-call, hospital coverage and CT imaging site schedules and coverage
Delegates to and supports clinic lead(s) in areas of responsibility
Interviews job applicants, make hiring recommendations, and help coordinate new hire orientation, ensuring all necessary training is completed
Ensures that resources, supplies, and materials are available for patient care
Assists in the development of department/division goals and works to achieve those related to the Clinic and Treatment areas
Role models for staff incorporating organizational initiatives and adapting to changes in clinical care, research and patient safety.
Coordinates & participates in continuing education programs and in-services, national and regional professional organizations and community sponsored programs
Maintains patient care standards and assures that patient care functions, such as assessment, treatment and documentation are completed safely and effectively and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Ensure that clinical operations follow continuity guidelines and procedures, and the smooth execution of all practice nursing policies, procedures and systems.
Coordinates, integrates, and completes compliance reviews of new clinical SOPs
Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree in nursing preferred, bachelor’s degree required (or attained within 2 years of role commencement)
5 or more years of nursing experience, working in an oncology setting
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine
OCN Certification, or ability to obtain OCN Certification within 12 months of starting in the position.
