Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro ICU

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a full‑time, night shift RN for its Neuro ICU. The position is 12‑hour, 6:30 pm‑7:am shifts with weekend duties.
Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule 12‑hour shifts: 6:30 pm to 7:am; full‑time; weekends required.

Education & Qualifications
Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
BCLS required.
ACLS, PALS required; Handle with Care preferred.
