Position Overview This position is for a licensed, PRN Physical Therapist looking to join our team providing Inpatient services to the Shreveport area. Specialists Hospital Shreveport offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of clinicians dedicated to providing quality care for our patients. Our caseload is primarily orthopedic seeing both chronic and acute conditions as well as providing post-operative care to the spine and extremities.
Essential Job Functions
Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes appropriate plans of care, and effectively implements treatments to restore patient to maximum function
Collaborates well with designated team of PTAs and supervises PT technicians to provide best quality of care for patient
Maintains accurate paper and electronic record of documentation of services rendered per hospital and state guidelines
Cultivates relationships with referring physicians and communicates as necessary regarding patient care
Creates and maintains good patient-therapist rapport to ensure successful therapy experience
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy
Active License to practice physical therapy in Louisiana
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED)
