Responsibilities
Supervise, perform, and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure quality of care to residents.
Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintain up-to-date nursing care plans, document progress, and make recommendations for revisions.
Make daily and periodic visits to observe symptoms, medication reactions, and treatment outcomes.
Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements, replacements, and cultures.
Assist with orientation and ongoing training of staff to assure required skill levels are maintained.
Qualifications
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid LPN license in good standing according to state and federal requirements.
Understand safe, effective nursing practices within the state of Indiana.
Basic computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and personnel.
A passion for caring for people.
Ability to be discrete and protect confidential information, staying within compliance and HIPAA.
Knowledge of personal computer use, including Word and Excel, and office machines such as fax and copying machines.
