Shift Hours & Schedule Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12‑hour shift).

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, (off Wednesday and Thursday), Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: (off Monday and Tuesday), Wednesday, Thursday, (off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

Location Clayton, North Carolina, USA.

Responsibilities

Perform complex laboratory analysis of plasma and plasma products in a GMP laboratory.

Sample accessioning, preparation, reagent preparation, testing, result calculation, and quality control of assays and equipment.

Support assay validation, method transfer, reagent and control qualification, and laboratory maintenance activities as assigned.

Work with infectious material daily, within a biological safety cabinet, and operate a microscope for several hours at a time.

Perform complex tissue‑culture assays and maintain cell lines.

Execute environmental monitoring of fill lines in B300 and SFF, and of all classified production areas, including sampling of site utility systems.

Execute the Quality Oversight program for the fill lines and provide quality control approval of air‑flow visualizations conducted on site.

Perform cleaning duties and housekeeping as required.

Maintain accurate, legible, and organized documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Assistant level: AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or BS degree in biology, chemistry or related field, plus 6‑12 months of applicable laboratory experience.

Associate level: AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or BS degree in biology, chemistry or related field, plus 2 years of applicable laboratory experience.

Background in medical technology/clinical laboratory science preferred.

Experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory preferred.

Proficient with micropipettes and serological pipettes for dilutions and serial dilutions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks by following SOPs and oral instructions.

Good organizational and documentation skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements Work is performed in an office and a laboratory/manufacturing environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential infectious organisms. Exposure to occasional extreme cold below 32°F in production areas. Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Protective eyewear, garments and gloves are required. Work involves sitting or standing for 2‑4 hours per day, frequent hand movements, precise coordinated movements of fingers, light‑to‑moderate lifting up to 35 lbs, occasional walking, bending, twisting, and foot movements. Color perception and near vision requirements: 20/30 (one eye) to 20/100 (other eye). Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
