Role Overview Decide is seeking an Operations Manager to own execution of core back‑office and operational workflows. As a critical member of the Operations team, you’ll translate direction into action, ensure operational follow‑through, and support smooth ongoing business operations. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least 1‑2 days per week in‑office presence in St. Louis, alongside ongoing virtual work. The ideal candidate brings strong operational judgment, thrives on ownership, and is comfortable operating with limited structure while maintaining high standards of reliability and discretion. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the VP of People, and the Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute day‑to‑day business operations and administrative workflows

Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately, on time, and without the need for executive oversight

Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, or risks and proactively propose and implement solutions

Establish and maintain lightweight processes that improve reliability and scalability

Support the COO, VP of People, and ELT

Serve as the primary operational point of contact for routine business matters

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers; manage follow‑through and issue resolution

Oversee the readiness, safety, and effectiveness of the physical office environment

Handle in‑office operational needs and logistics as required

Own organization and maintenance of operational documentation and business records

Support audits, filings, and compliance‑related requests in coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Ensure systems and records are organized, accessible, and audit‑ready

Own logistical aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding for a distributed, remote‑first workforce

Ensure employees have the tools, access, and support needed to be productive

Coordinate internal events, engagement initiatives, and company on‑sites

Support travel coordination and logistics for conferences and events

Lead and execute cross‑functional operational projects

Act as a first‑line problem solver for ambiguous, time‑sensitive operational challenges

Step in where needed to keep the business moving forward

Experience And Qualifications

3‑6 years in operations, business operations, office management, or similar roles

Proven ability to operate independently with strong judgment and ownership

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High level of trustworthiness, discretion, and reliability

Ability to balance in‑person execution with virtual coordination

Experience at a tech company is a plus

Must be based in St. Louis, Missouri, with the ability to work at the office at least 2x per week

Familiarity with common operational tools such as a CRM, Google Workspace, and project management software is a plus
