Job Description We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented and proactive Resource Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support effective talent deployment by balancing supply and demand across multiple disciplines and projects. You’ll play a key role in staff augmentation, building shoring mixes and shoring teams to ensure the right resources are aligned with the right opportunities at the right time.

This position requires strong operational insight and the ability to navigate complex resourcing needs across global teams. You’ll partner with leadership to understand project requirements, timelines, and skill sets, ensuring optimal utilization of both internal and external talent pools.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage resource assignments and extensions, anticipating project cycles, production schedules, and client demands.

Build and maintain shoring strategies (onshore, nearshore, offshore) to optimize cost, efficiency, and quality.

Implement and manage staff augmentation plans to quickly scale teams and fill critical skill gaps.

Lead staffing meetings with department heads to assess impacts on resource needs and upcoming priorities.

Match talent to projects based on skills, experience, and team dynamics.

Maintain detailed knowledge of team capabilities and specialized expertise across disciplines.

Document team configurations that work well together and leverage these insights for future staffing.

Balance resource preferences with business needs, ensuring continuity while providing variety where possible.

Track utilization and capacity, accounting for non-billable activities such as training and development.

Partner with leadership to forecast upcoming needs and ensure appropriate talent availability.

Manage freelance and vendor relationships, determining when to augment internal teams with external resources.

Proactively review the project pipeline and adjust resource plans accordingly.

Serve as a talent advocate, ensuring individuals are placed on projects that support growth and engagement.

Collaborate with other Resource Managers across the network to share talent and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of experience in project management, operations, or staffing within a fast-paced environment.

Strong understanding of staff augmentation models and global shoring strategies.

Proven ability to build relationships and act as a strategic partner to leadership and delivery teams.

Analytical skills combined with strong interpersonal abilities to navigate diverse personalities and preferences.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between operational and business needs.

Experience managing teams through high-pressure situations such as launches, deadlines, and large-scale initiatives.

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
