Field Service Safety Specialist
DEPCOM Power is seeking a Field Services Health and Safety Specialist to support operational utility‑scale solar and battery storage (BESS) sites across the United States. This role is part of the HSSE team and focuses on field‑based safety oversight, compliance, and support for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and EPC‑related activities. It requires significant travel, including extended site assignments.
What You Will Do
Inspect and audit utility‑scale solar and battery storage sites to ensure compliance with DEPCOM standards, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
Monitor daily field activities to verify safe work practices, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety.
Conduct site walk‑throughs to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Provide on‑site safety support and coaching to field technicians, including audits and field assessments.
Support the development and delivery of safety programs, procedures, training, and emergency response drills in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and NFPA 70E.
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions while partnering with EPC and O&M teams to drive continuous safety improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Electrical operations experience.
Working knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
Hands‑on experience in health and safety roles supporting field operations.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75%, including extended site assignments.
What Will Put You Ahead
Relevant safety certifications such as CESCP, OSHA 511, NFPA 70E Training, or similar.
First Aid / CPR certification.
Working knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage systems, and maintenance operations.
Experience supporting both EPC and O&M environments.
Compensation $35.00 – $42.00 per hour. The role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
