I'm working with a well-established civil engineering firm in Houston that is seeking a
Water Wastewater Engineer
to join their growing municipal infrastructure team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to work on a wide range of water and wastewater treatment and pump station projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support multidisciplinary teams in the preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for water treatment, wastewater treatment, and pump station projects
Assist with facility assessments and design efforts, including design calculations, process and hydraulic modeling, and equipment selection and sizing
Prepare design and construction documents and support construction phase services, both in the office and in the field
Assist with project coordination, including task management, scheduling, budgeting, and client interaction
Support and mentor junior and technical staff as part of project teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
4 or more years of experience in municipal water and wastewater facilities design
Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, or related infrastructure
Texas EIT or PE license, or ability to obtain Texas PE licensure within 12 months of hire
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with process modeling tools such as BioWin, Sumo, or GPS X
Exposure to proposal support and client presentations
Interest in continued technical growth and expanded project responsibility
