team as a Senior Graphic Designer. The project coordinator designs both print and web assets for the Office of Communications & Marketing.
Overview At
North Carolina Central University
(NCCU) you will support the university’s communication strategy by creating and maintaining visual content for a range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead print and web‑related design projects for formal university programs (commencement, convocations) and other internal/departments requests.
Design logos, invitations, flyers, newsletters, and HTML emails for campus constituencies.
Maintain accurate records of work in progress and provide cost estimates for requested services.
Work with units and individuals to develop and refine design concepts, provide photo resources, and manage photo editing.
Research and implement multimedia tools on the university’s web sites, including audio, video, and social networking features.
Collaborate on the University style guide and social media policies, offering strategic counsel and written updates to campus clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated project management and technical expertise with autonomy and initiative.
Strong critical, analytical, and creative thinking to manage multiple projects on deadline.
Knowledge of design principles, photo editing, and web development fundamentals.
Excellent written, oral, and editing communication skills with sound judgment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaboration in high‑pressure environments and flexible scheduling.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and at least two years of visual/graphic arts experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
No specific licenses or certification required by statute or regulation.
Additional Information
Employment type: Full‑time, permanent, pay grade 65.
Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level.
Location: Durham, NC (University of Durham, NC).
Salary range: $54,245.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
Work hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (“Some evening and weekend work may be required”).
