Job Summary – CP-1 Certified Perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. Recommend troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required.

Responsibilities

Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision, and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine the condition of structures under evaluation.

Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.

Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.

Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects.

Organize and perform multiple small projects simultaneously.

Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.

Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Current certification with AMPP (formerly NACE International) as a Cathodic Protection Tester (CP‑1).

1–3 years of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly related to cathodic protection work.

U.S. citizenship required for government contracts.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and interact with team members, clients, and management staff.

Willingness to travel as required.

Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Physical requirements: significant standing or walking on uneven ground; possible climbing of ladders or working in high places; tight spaces; lifting up to 60 pounds; overall physically demanding; all‑weather environment.
