Job Responsibilities

Supervises, teaches and acts as a role model for youth, and be aware and account for youth at all times

Demonstrated ability to create adventure-based recreational programs and ability to manage and operate various recreational facilities and equipment

Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to become and maintain TCI, First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, ABC and NYPUM certification

Demonstrated understanding of programming for youth with substance abuse and/or mental health challenges

Demonstrated organizational skills including time management and ability to facilitate a variety of recreational programs and workforce development activities

Job Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor's degree required

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a similar field

Experience working with at risk youth and/or non-profit experience preferred

Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written, including attention to detail and training skills

Ability to work with a culturally and economically diverse population

Valid Driver's License, with acceptable driving history to the Agency
