Position Overview The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The role also includes a variety of operational duties as assigned by store management (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.).
Reports To Store Management
Essential Functions Customer Experience
Greeting customers immediately with a smile and sincere greeting.
Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
Maintain a clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
Provide customers with current relevant product information.
Provide quality fitting room service, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale.
Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
Sincerely thank all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.
Cooperation & Dependability
Complete all duties assigned by management satisfactorily.
Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
Work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
Follow GUESS policies and procedures 100%.
Perform housekeeping duties as required.
Personal Performance
Meet or exceed the Sales per Hour (SPH) result as assigned by management.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
Participate in all store meetings and related functions.
Represent a positive attitude toward merchandise and the company.
Participate in all inventories.
Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.
Physical requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
Job Requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Previous retail experience preferred.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina: Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
