Job Summary Provide dynamic Strength and Conditioning services that engage, educate and challenge Marymount student-athletes. As the Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach assist the Head Strength & Conditioning coach in all aspects of running the S&C programs for the intercollegiate teams as well as help oversee the weight room and fitness center operations and additional duties as needed. Remain fully committed to the mission and goals of the University while adhering to all Atlantic East and NCAA rules and regulations.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating Strength and Conditioning services for all NCAA athletic teams at Marymount University
Program and lead strength and conditioning sessions for assigned teams and others as needed
Collaborate with Head Coaches and Sports to assist in achieving desired performance goals
Collaborate with Athletic Trainers to be aware of modifications for injured athletes and allow for safe return to competition
Monitor equipment inventory and care for Lee Center and Ostapenko Fitness Facilities
Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with all Conference and NCAA rules and regulations as they relate to all job related activities
Provide positive leadership for student-athletes
Annually pass of the NCAA Compliance Exam.
Actively seek professional development opportunities.
Assist in supervising the Rose Bente Lee Center student workers in accordance with University Policy and Procedures.
Assist Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in conducting internship program and overseeing undergraduate interns.
Follow Athletic Department Policy and Procedures.
Maintain CPR/ AED Certification.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience 1-3 years of Strength and Conditioning experience preferred.
Licenses or Certifications Valid Driver’s License CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa) required CPR/ AED Certification required

Supervision 10+ Student-Workers and Undergraduate Interns
Special Working Conditions Ability to potentially travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the University is closed during snow emergencies.
