Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of a primary care provider, as part of the healthcare team, and is responsible for providing general clinical nursing support. The individual is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care required for the patient and will assist in the development and revision of patient’s care plan.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Job Qualifications Education
Minimum Required: Knowledge of patient care standards and practices acquired through graduation from an accredited LPN program or documentation of nursing education and training through an accredited Registered Nurse program that meets state requirements to take LPN boards.
Preferred/Optional: Licensed practical nurse (LPN) diploma. Associate degree in nursing.
Experience
Minimum Required: Experience working with patient care. Demonstrated proficiency with verbal, non‑verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Experience as a licensed practical nurse within an area relative to the hiring department.
Certifications / Licenses
Minimum Required: Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the applicable state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
Medical Assistant - Job Summary The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Medical Assistant - Job Qualifications Education / Experience
Minimum Required: One of the following:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent):
Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed online through Universal Class.
Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease from an accredited institution or completed online through Universal Class.
Pharmacology from an accredited institution.
Two years of Medical Assistant‑related work experience and completion of the required educational courses listed above within the first 12 months from hire.
Preferred/Optional: Experience in healthcare.
Certifications / Licenses
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Wisconsin or equivalent
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
The position will support both General Surgery and Gastroenterology departments at the Weston Center.
