Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Holding Charge Nurse you will be a central figure in patient care, seamlessly navigating the healthcare journey to achieve optimal outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. Every day, you will strategically assess, plan, and facilitate comprehensive care across the continuum, expertly advocating for patients while collaborating with physicians, nursing, departments, insurers, and post-acute providers to ensure timely, high‑quality transitions.
In addition to RN duties, responsibilities include facilitating day‑to‑day operations of the Unit and collaborating with staff, Nurse Managers, team leaders, supervisors, and physicians to ensure quality patient care with optimum patient outcomes.
Functions as a clinical and leadership mentor and coach to new and existing staff
Assists with preparation and oversight of unit schedules
Works with department management to balance schedules
Oversees and adapts the daily staffing plan to meet the department’s needs
Establishes patient assignments for a team of employees
Participates in the peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff
Provides input and feedback to the nurse manager/department leadership regarding team performance
Benefits We are offering a sign‑on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Additional pay is available for participation in our clinical ladder program, referral bonuses, tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Requirements
Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas or eNLC licensure with multi‑state privileges in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing. The license must be unencumbered.
Six months of nursing experience required (new graduates must complete a residency program before consideration for this unit)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Previous nursing experience in Circulating or OR
