Lab Technician (QC/QA Lab)
Apex Systems is seeking a QC Lab Technician for a local chemical manufacturing client located in Fort Mill, SC.
Position: 3‑6 month contract‑to‑hire; 100% onsite with a 2/2/3 rotating schedule and weekend coverage.
Pay range: $22–$26 per hour.
Location: Fort Mill, SC.
Responsibilities
Prepare standards and solutions for analysis
Analyze samples including raw material, in‑process, and final product
Report results to production and record data
Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
Prepare COA (Certificate of Analysis) for customer shipments
Work closely with production, supervisors, and engineers
Qualifications
1+ years of lab experience
High School Diploma (degree in a science field not required but a plus)
Able to work independently
Flexible and willing to work overtime when needed
Good housekeeping ethics
Good chemical hygiene
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office) and spreadsheets
Experience with GC (gas chromatography) and LC (liquid chromatography)
Familiar with ChemStation software
Wet chemistry (pH, conductivity, titrations—manual and automatic, solids, etc.)
TOC, VOC, viscosity
UV‑Vis, IR or ICP experience a plus
Familiar with ISO 9001 standard
