Provide instruction on Medical Terminology & Anatomy, Medical Coding Specialist, and Medical Billing Specialist Programs in preparation for AAPC national certification exams. Evaluate student progress, prepare curriculum and course materials, keep abreast and implement coding updates into the curriculum. Provide online class preparation and instruction while motivating students with creative engaging activities. Responsible for student assessment, remediation, end‑of‑course reports, and other duties as assigned. Remain current in annual coding updates to incorporate into the curriculum. Qualifications
2 years professional experience as a medical coder. Must hold current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC or CCS or CCS‑P certification through AHIMA. Associate degree or higher in a healthcare‑related field. Working knowledge of online learning management system and training platforms, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Teaching experience (Preferred). AAPC Approved Instructor Certification (Preferred). Seniority Level
