Position Summary OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital‑Talbot Hall provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in Central Ohio. The Behavioral Health Clinician serves as a critical part of our clinical team, functioning within the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to provide psychotherapy and interventions across levels of care.

Coordinate the clinical activities of inpatient clinical team members to achieve the most effective, efficient, and evidence‑based service delivery to patients & families.

Monitor and assess practice patterns to ensure a high level of clinical expertise and positive outcomes for patients and families. Reports outcomes to management.

Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with substance use disorder and mental health complaints.

Provide counseling/psychotherapy to individuals with mental & behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy.

Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients in determining and meeting treatment goals.

Other duties include advocating within the local community if needed; working as part of the clinical team; maintaining third‑party payer relationships; and completing all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.

Independent Ohio license to practice (e.g., LISW, LPCC, LICDC) with Supervisory Designation.

Minimum five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Experience and/or training in at least one evidence‑based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive‑behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred.

Prior leadership and supervisory experience is preferred.

Ongoing Requirements

Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and Buckeye Learn modules.

Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.

Training in at least one evidence‑based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive‑behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy) will be required.

Leadership & supervisory training may be required.

Final Conditions Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
