Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! The position supports the Infusion Department at our Amarillo, TX location and is a full‑time Monday‑Friday role (8:00 am–5:00 pm) with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Job Responsibilities

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.

Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.

Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction.

Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique.

Ensure pre‑authorization and consent forms are completed prior to therapy administration.

Facilitate dose modifications by assessing labs, consulting protocols or treatment plans, calculating dose, and consulting physicians for dosage changes and symptom management.

Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.

Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

Minimum 0‑3 years of RN experience.

Willingness to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.

Current RN license in the practicing state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Working Conditions The work environment is typical of an oncology/hematology clinic, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.

Physical Requirements Full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients and items up to 40 lbs; manual and finger dexterity; eye‑hand coordination; standing and walking for extensive periods; corrected vision and hearing at normal range.
