Frye Regional Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with over 1,500 staff and a 355‑bed acute care facility offering a broad array of inpatient and outpatient services. Position Summary
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and performs diagnostic studies per physician orders. Essential Functions
Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patients regarding procedures and equipment. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition and reports/responds to changes in status. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies image quality issues. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating the procedure. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. On‑call availability: Must accept on‑call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts and be available to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification. Required Skills
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, perform well in a stressful environment. Education / Certification
Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or two‑year certificate. Graduate of a Program Discipline in Nuclear Medicine (Required); Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state of practice, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required. Benefits
