SSM Health is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Lake Ozark, MO. This local opportunity offers patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician, within the scope of your license.
Job Summary Provides care to patients, administers medications, educates patients/families about treatment plans, performs point‑of‑care testing, and assists with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Contributes to patient assessment and ensures patient well‑being.
Administers medications and monitors for adverse reactions.
Educates patients/families on disease treatment plans, self‑care post‑discharge, holistic health needs, resources, and follow‑up care.
Maintains alertness and safe practices.
Performs point‑of‑care testing per policies and procedures.
Completes additional duties as requested.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing.
No experience required.
Physical Requirements Constant use of speech to share information orally; constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects 0–25 lbs.; frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use; vision and depth perception for near (≤20 in.) and far (≥20 ft.); odor detection; hearing to receive oral communication and alarms; occasional lifting 25–50 lbs.; occasional patient moving; bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, repetitive movements; occasional driving; rare crawling and running.
Licensing & Certifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin (Compact State). Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA).
Work Shift & Schedule Day Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 7:30 am – 6:00 pm (40 hours weekly).
