Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a person licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
Position Details Sign On Bonus: $2,000. 36 hours per week (Days). Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO 63028.
Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals with psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. The multidisciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention.
Qualifications
Required Education: Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
License: Current LPN license in the state, or obtainable within 90 days.
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association; IV Certification within 1 year.
