The mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs provided include inpatient acute interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric services are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
The Forensic Aftercare Clinic is looking for a Manager for our Forensic Outpatient Clinic to join our team- an energetic person that can manage a fast pace clinic with the various professional staff and provide quality patient care for our forensic population. The clinic manager plays a vital role in ensuring that the clinic operates efficiently while providing high-quality patient care. The manager needs diverse skills to work on a range of tasks, including staffing, patient services and quality assurance to provide patients the highest level of care. A master’s degree in a social science, health or human services, or health administration field plus four years of experience in health services, social services, nursing, or counseling; OR
A doctorate in a social science, health or human services, or health administration field, or a medical degree plus three years of experience in health services, social services, nursing, or counseling.

Job Duties:
Plans, develops and directs clinic programs and services that meet the clinical needs of the residents of the OBH Region 1 and 10 community forensic services area, such as clinic services, community support programs, referral plan for emergency services, and consultations to courts.
Provide supervision, both administrative and functional, to employees in Regions 1, 9, and 10. Approves all leave requests and payroll documentation for direct reports.
Monitors receipt and completion of Initial Risk Assessments and updates at the Forensic Aftercare Clinic.
Monitors the completion of monthly (at minimum) home visits. In the event that the case monitor is out for an extended time, back up staff will be assigned by the Community Services Director and/or the clinic manager to cover this task.
Conducts daily clinic staff meetings for review and planning, and facilitate communications between all clinic staff about events/activities of clients/"pass" status for clients. Perform special projects as requested by the Director of Community Forensic Services and submit report within reasonable time frame set.
Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type:
Probational, Promotional, or Detail to Special Duty. Current permanent status, classified employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected.
Compensation:
This position has a Minimum Hire Rate: $2,528.00 bi-weekly / $31.60 hourly.
