Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications: CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT, ARMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH), etc. Alternative work experience requirements apply if not yet certified.
Experience:
Previous work in a medical office preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA.
Current state driver’s license (Palliative Care Only).
Ability to complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
