Job Title: Adolescent Therapist/Counselor

Reports To: Outpatient Program Director - Adult and Adolescent Services

Location: Imagine Omaha (Adolescent outpatient in Omaha, NE)

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 11:30-7:30pm AND Wednesday & Friday 8:30-5pm (Flexibility for a minimum of 2 evening shifts/week)

Compensation: $30-42/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of clients. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each client. The Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned clients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations. This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to clients and their family members. The Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Provide counseling, assessments and group facilitation to individuals and families

Coordinate all aspects of direct clinical care from admission to discharge

Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care

Provide orientation and education to clients, families and others to aid in the therapeutic process

Collaborate with assigned clients in the development of written treatment plans; include client and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning

Monitor clients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions

Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care

Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers

Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times

Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility

Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services

Coordinate with community based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes, post discharge

Case staffing and individual case supervision

Facilitate individual and group therapy

Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care

Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Services, or another relevant field

Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered

Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire and for the entire duration of employment

1+ year of experience in relevant field

Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating adolescent clients assigned

Must hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patients

Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board
