Description
The Clinical Research Recruitment Specialist will identify and implement strategies and tactics to identify and recruit research participants. The Recruitment Specialist works independently with limited supervision by the Director and ensures that patient recruitment strategies and tactics are practical, experience based and cost effective.
This position is hybrid remote but will require onsite vists to our valley locations at least once weekly.
Responsibilities
Learn and understand the currently enrolling clinical trials at AARR
Interpret the inclusion and exclusion criteria and use them to identify potential participants for the studies in all 11 offices
Submit approval to contact to the potential participant’s attending physician
Contact patients on the phone and in-office to determine eligibility and interest in a clinical trail
Manage patient database
Schedule patients for screening visits
Navigate and utilize Electronic Medical Record System for medical chart reviews
Track patient contact and recruitment sources on Clinical Conductor system
Complete chart review tracking logs from submission to trial sponsor
Develop written recruitment plan for each clinical trial with the study team
Create and submit marketing proposals
Create and utilize IRB approved phone screening scripts
Work with Marketing Strategist to collect and report recruitment metrics
Assist in all ongoing recruitment efforts, which may include but are not limited to: community outreach, fundraisers, office campaigning, lunch and learns, mailers, brochure labeling, and stocking of recruitment supplies in each office.
Weekend and evening recruitment event attendance is required as needed
Manage the recruitment process and initiates all efforts to align with FDA, ICH/GCPs and IRB requirements
May perform additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Qualifications
Associates Degree
Strong communication and phone skills required, bilingal preferred
Strong medical terminology required
Previous experience in clinical research pharmaceutical trial recrutment required, rheumatology preferred
