Job Duties Currently offering a $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus to new state service candidates with a one‑year written agreement.

The LPN provides quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients based on standards of nursing practice within scope of license. They perform skilled, patient‑centered care to individuals and groups with complex mental and physical illnesses under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include: administering medication and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating for continuity of care.

Responsibilities

Deliver skilled nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric patients.

Administer medications and treatments following protocols.

Maintain accurate patient records.

Provide health and wellness education to patients.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.

Work 12‑hour shifts: Day/Evening 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. or Evening/Night 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed or license‑eligible in Virginia as a Licensed Practical Nurse; multi‑state compact endorsement accepted.

Demonstrated knowledge of nursing standards and fundamentals, including medication management and patient assessment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Special Instructions This position is considered essential personnel and may be required to work in emergencies, pandemics, or facility needs. All approved positions may need to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as requested.
