Salesian High School Position Description: Theology Instructor

Required Qualifications/Educational Background and/or Experience
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and charism, with the ability to effectively engage students in discussion on matters of faith
Familiarity with Salesian charism and educational practice, or a willingness to be further formed in Salesian educational theory and practice.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing as well as in person.
Experience with and skill in developing unit and lesson plans, focused on helping students develop 21st‑century skills and competencies.
Skills to effectively manage a high school classroom, including the ability to create an environment conducive to learning and effectively resolve student behavior incidents.
At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Willingness to consent to a background check and participate in Archdiocesan and Salesian “Safe Environment” training.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a High School environment
Willingness to connect and network with professionals to offer students a complete and enriching academic experience

Salary Range
$45,000 – $58,000 annual salary
The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, and other job‑related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Salesian’s good‑faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
