Responsibilities include teaching a survey course on U.S. Civil War history, other courses related to your expertise, advising undergraduate and graduate students, conducting rigorous archival research, publishing, participating in departmental service, and mentoring students. The teaching load is 2/2.

Minimum qualifications: PhD in History (specialization in U.S. Civil War history) or a closely related field; distinguished record of publications, teaching, and professional service; evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and public service. Preferred qualifications: experience teaching in higher education.
