Drawing instructor wanted to teach art classes at the Michaels store in Petaluma, CA!
This is a part‑time, permanent position. It is a great opportunity for an artist who would like to offer classes without a personal studio space.
Qualifications
Ability to paint and draw realistically.
Ability to teach realistic drawing classes.
Willingness to market classes and build a student base.
Responsibilities
Teach realistic painting or drawing classes.
Ensure students leave each class with a finished drawing or painting.
Compensation:
FREE Basics: MAKE A Project Classes
– scheduled up to one time per month.
Hourly rate plus $3 per student.
Advanced Classes – Drawing and Watercolor :
Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students or fewer.
Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 or more students.
All schedules are determined between the instructor and Michaels store management.
Duration:
Classes are two hours in length.
Certification:
All Grumbacher art instructors who teach at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher. Certification is independent of the Michaels hiring process; once certified, you must complete the Michaels employment application.
