Position Overview
The Security Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality security services on a designated shift at an assigned customer. Acting as a liaison between site supervisors, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers, you will supervise staff on your shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
Schedule & Compensation
Full‑time (Afternoon and Evening shifts). Pay: $20.90 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate security operations during your shift.
Act as a liaison between site supervisors, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and security officers.
Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment limits.
Prepare written reports and logs.
Apply initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Must possess an active Virginia DCJS License with Firearm endorsement.
1+ year of Armed Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience.
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally.
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.
Successful completion of a background investigation and a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test.
Intermediate computer skills to utilize wireless technology at client sites.
Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
Physical requirements: work in various environments (cold weather, rain/snow, heat), occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs/ramps/ladders, stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
