General Function Assists the training coordinator with training, record keeping, and special projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts hands on, physical warehouse specific training for all employees and occasionally conducts classroom style training.

Monitors new employees training, assess training needs and perform PC based training or make recommendation on floor training.

Assists in maintaining training database and macros used to automate training schedules and update links used by the warehouse trainers and supervisors.

Troubleshoots RF issues and coordinates possible resolutions between the IT department and selectors and maintains Vocollect inventory.

Assists with Safety Committee and creating PC based interactives.

Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Must be flexible in regard to training in perishable and grocery warehouses.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Performs data entry of records of training activity and general office work as needed.

Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics

Must like working with people, have the desire to provide hands on training, and possess excellent communication skills.

Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Must be able to report, write, or edit articles for publication; prepare and deliver lectures; interview for basic information; counsel or advise people; and evaluate technical data.

Education and Experience

High School or GED.

One year to three years of warehouse or similar resource work experience.

Supervisory Responsibility (Direct Reports) None.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically able to perform light work: exerting up to 70 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

Must be able to operate all equipment required of a warehouse employee proficiently and within set safety guidelines.

Visual requirements include clarity of vision at distance of less than 20 inches and up to 20 feet or more with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions The duties for this position are normally conducted in a warehouse environment. There is continuous exposure to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents, and electrical shock.

Equipment Used to Perform Job Vocollect, warehouse handling equipment, PC, fax, and phone.

Financial Responsibility None.
