Electrician
to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems that support water and wastewater collection and treatment equipment at municipal and industrial facilities.

Key Duties And Essential Functions
Electrical & Technical Expertise: Demonstrates advanced proficiency in installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems supporting pumps, motors, blowers, MCCs, control panels, and related process equipment.
Analytical Troubleshooting: Diagnoses and resolves complex electrical, control, PLC, and VFD issues with accuracy and efficiency; applies sound judgment to develop and implement effective solutions.
Preventative Maintenance: Proactively performs scheduled inspections and system checks to minimize downtime and ensure reliable, long‑term equipment performance.
Startup & Commissioning Support: Assists with equipment start‑ups, system upgrades, and on‑site operator training to ensure safe and successful project completion.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintains complete and accurate service reports detailing work performed, materials used, and equipment condition.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Works closely with the Service Manager, Service Coordinator, and field service team to coordinate schedules, share knowledge, and achieve operational efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Adheres to all NEC, OSHA, and site‑specific safety standards and regulatory requirements; prioritizes safety in every aspect of the job.
Customer Service & Professionalism: Builds lasting client relationships through clear communication, dependability, and high‑quality service delivery.
Required Qualifications Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician; experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments.
Willingness and ability to travel throughout New York State (including NYC and Long Island), with frequent overnight stays and occasional emergency callouts.
Technical Skills
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing pumps, motors, controls, and related process equipment.
Strong understanding of NEC, electrical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Skilled in the use of electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Valid driver’s license required.
