Join Temp Care Childcare Staffing as a Substitute Preschool Teacher. This position serves San Mateo County and requires commuting to multiple cities. All positions are on‑site. Temp Care is a full staffing service for Early Childhood Educators, recruiting and placing teachers and aides in temporary and permanent positions since 1988.
Responsibilities
Available for 4‑8 hour shifts on call.
Devote a minimum of 2‑5 full days a week to receive day‑to‑day job assignments early in the morning.
Travel to assigned sites as needed.
Willing to change diapers and perform light lifting up to 50 lbs.
Accept assignments at different sites with reliability and flexibility.
Qualifications
Less than 1 year of experience (for assistant teachers).
High school degree.
Minimum age 18 years.
Good health and willing to undergo health screening (TB, influenza, measles, pertussis).
Mandated Reporter Certificate.
Clear criminal background check.
Basic English skills.
GPS and ability to use it.
For teachers: minimum 12 core units Early Childhood Education / Development Semester Units, including Child Development, Child, Family, and Community; degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education; CA Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
Assistant teachers: minimum of 6 Early Childhood Education units.
