is a unit within the College of Lifetime Learning at Georgia Tech. Since 1991, CEISMC has connected Georgia Tech with pre‑collegiate education communities to provide inclusive STEM/STEAM education experiences inside and outside the classroom. CEISMC focuses on research and implementing STEM educational reform, professional development for educators, and innovative programs that integrate arts, music, computer science, robotics, invention, and entrepreneurship. These initiatives are driven by sustainable partnerships that foster student success and workforce development. CEISMC also houses the EXCEL program, which offers inclusive postsecondary education opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Role Description This full‑time, on‑site role is located in Savannah, GA. The Educational Outreach Manager will develop and manage educational outreach programs, foster partnerships with schools, organizations, and community stakeholders, and coordinate outreach events. Responsibilities include promoting CEISMC’s mission, managing project budgets, overseeing program execution, and participating in public relations activities to increase engagement and program awareness. The candidate will drive community engagement and student participation in STEM/STEAM programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong communication and public relations skills to engage with diverse audiences and effectively promote programs
Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of education‑focused initiatives
Proficiency in sales and community outreach to build partnerships and foster connections with educational and community stakeholders
Passion for STEM/STEAM education and knowledge of best practices in inclusive educational outreach
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Experience working with K‑12 education systems or youth‑focused programs is a strong advantage
Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently in a fast‑paced environment
