Logistics Specialist - Summary The Logistics Specialist supports system-level design, SOP development, and the commissioning and qualification of automated material handling systems (ASRS/AGVs). This role oversees material flow from receiving through storage and shipment, ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The position also provides team guidance, supports training initiatives, enforces safety and quality standards, and contributes to warehouse start-up and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Support design, SOP development, and start-up of automated warehouse systems
Oversee receiving, storage, material movement, and shipping operations
Ensure accurate inventory control and warehouse system transactions
Maintain compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and EPA requirements
Promote safety, quality, and operational excellence
Coach team members, support training, and drive accountability
Identify and implement process and performance improvements
Required Experience
4+ years in warehouse/logistics environments with automated systems (ASRS/AGVs)
Experience with material handling, dock operations, and forklift use
SME experience in warehouse start-up, process development, and documentation
Training development and start-up support experience
Pharmaceutical cGMP experience preferred
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Experience authoring technical and operational documentation
Ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes through collaboration
