AOT Data Analyst III - Business Intelligence

Overview The Vermont Agency of Transportation seeks a Data Analyst to join a newly re‑aligned team under the Administration Division, tasked with special projects identified by executive staff. The role supports AI implementation, data governance, and other digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Serve as a technical project lead for high‑priority business process optimization initiatives.
Communicate with AOT internal users to gather detailed business requirements.
Identify and evaluate technically feasible solutions that meet business requirements in collaboration with the continuous improvement team.
Develop innovative technical solutions that provide actionable insights and/or process improvements from AOT data.
Enable the lead business unit to implement process efficiencies through training and knowledge transfer sessions on emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, statistics, data science, geographic information systems, computer science, or closely related field AND two (2) or more years of work experience including at least one (1) year in statistical analysis, data analysis, geospatial analysis, quality management, project/program management or policy development.
Associate degree or higher in engineering, statistics, data science, geographic information systems, computer science, or closely related field AND four (4) or more years of work experience including at least one (1) year in statistical analysis, data analysis, geospatial analysis, quality management, project/program management or policy development.
High school diploma or equivalent AND six (6) or more years of work experience including at least one (1) year in statistical analysis, data analysis, geospatial analysis, quality management, project/program management or policy development.
Environmental Factors Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
