– The hazardous waste Operations Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hazardous waste incineration equipment. This role involves handling, processing, and disposing of hazardous materials in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position is a 12‑hour rotating shift from 4:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Essential Functions & Requirements Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audit of the incineration process and equipment. Maintain accurate records of incineration activities, including waste type, quantities, and disposal methods. Prepare and submit reports on incineration operations, emissions, and compliance. Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and combustion processes, both in the field and in the Central Control Room. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of incinerator equipment. Manage the unloading of hazardous waste materials. Be an active member of the Plant Emergency Response team. Education Must have high school diploma or equivalent (required). Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in hazardous waste management, incineration operations, or a related field (required). Competencies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player.
