Job Title STEPS Facilities Events Specialist

Overview The Gatton Student Center

STEPS Facilities Event Specialist

reports directly to the Student Center Operations Specialist and performs set-up and breakdown to ensure safety and efficiency for all meetings and events in the UK Student Center and select other locations.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with Event Management Office, directs student employees in proper set-up

Responsible for transporting equipment and materials to and from specified locations – including picking up and delivering goods, furniture and staging, loading, delivery, unloading, and placement/installation of all event equipment and materials

Coordinates with the Event Management Office to provide equipment, furniture and materials for various University-related meetings and events

Qualifications

Required Education: HS

Required Related Experience: None

Preferred Education/Experience: Setup and break down of events, transporting materials.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?: No

Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50 lbs. Standing or walking carrying objects up to 25 lbs.

Shift Hours will be scheduled by supervisor (40 hours/week). 3pm-11:30pm.
