Responsibilities

Design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures

Examine levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages

Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory

Evaluate new inventory, ensuring it is ready to ship

Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels

Order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies

Analyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost‑effective deals

Manage multiple projects at one time efficiently and timely

Operate forklift truck when necessary

Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory

Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to related databases and/or software under the direction of the Distribution Manager

Learn and follow Smalley requirements for employee safety, product quality, and productivity

Adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment including: appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), participation in mandatory safety training, and reporting any concerns immediately

Keep workspace clean and organized to maximize safety and productivity by adhering to Smalley’s 6S process

Participate in ongoing training, educational meetings, and daily communication meetings

Be responsible for reviewing all applicable departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment

Experience Operating a Stand‑Up forklift

High School Diploma or Equivalent

3‑5 years proven experience working in a Warehouse or Inventory role

Salary A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $17.00 – $19.00 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
