Job Description Provides strategic oversight to the AHS PE revenue cycle functions ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Develops processes that consistently ensure effective staffing, strong associate engagement and appreciation, and appropriate systems for effective and supportive management engagement. Other duties as assigned. Develops and implements training programs for all financial revenue cycle staff to achieve impressive customer service outcomes. Engages best practices to result in successful outcomes. Facilitates organizational consensus and manages business relationships with stakeholders. Manages the development and deployment of patient‑friendly programs and activities. Integrates employee development and cross‑training to align with business unit objectives.
Position Focus The Executive Director (ED) of Process Improvement (PI) and Business Support directly reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Revenue Cycle, and has responsibility and accountability for providing the leadership necessary to set and support execution of the strategic direction and success of the organization’s revenue cycle support functions, including but not limited to Project Management, Analytics, Quality Audit/Training/Education, and Business Analysts/System SMEs teams for Acute Operations, as well as Automation, Vendor Management, and Revenue Cycle Finance/Controller teams for both Acute Operations and the Physician Enterprise. The ED of PI and Business Support will have experience working in a large complex, matrix organization, and will have proven executive leadership experience and a demonstrated track record of leading a large peer system with responsibilities and oversight of large scale transformations and performance improvement results. The ability to have a significant impact on standardizing and improving operations to align with leading practices will be critical to this role.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the following Revenue Cycle support functional areas: Project Management, Analytics, Quality Audit/Training/Education, Business Analysts/System SMEs, within Acute Operations, as well as Automation, Vendor Management, and Revenue Cycle Finance/Controller teams for both Acute Operations and the Physician Enterprise.
Oversees the Project Management team to ensure forecasted timelines and project objectives are met, and best practice project management methodologies and processes are adopted.
Collaborates with the Automation team to maintain an inventory of use cases, develop business cases to quantify impact of automation projects, and support prioritization of use cases development.
Oversees the Vendor Management team to ensure vendor‑specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and best practices in vendor management processes (e.g., inventory reconciliation, invoice review, contract management, vendor performance management) are adopted.
Oversees corporate revenue cycle financial activities, including but not limited to financial trending and projection, cost allocation, and budgeting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Required); Master’s degree preferred.
Proven executive leadership experience in a large complex, matrix organization.
Track record of leading large peer systems with oversight of large‑scale transformations and performance improvement results.
Pay Range $146,405.57 – $272,307.13
